From as far back as I can remember, I was active and energetic with a great love for athletics, particularly Track and Field activities. Most of the food we ate came from our own backyard. Pesticides, fertilizers and hormone infused foods were unknowns then.
My mother always prepared all her meals with her own ingredients. It took me pounds and pounds of excess fat, frustration and thousands of dollars later, before I reverted to preparing almost all of my dishes from scratch, including beverages, and condiments, using natural and organic ingredients as much as possible.
Fast forward to the last two decades. Unwittingly I allowed myself to be caught up in a completely different and unhealthy lifestyle. Consumption of rich decadent foods and fast foods on a regular basis, a 'dream job' that required a lot more sitting than being active, and a plethora of unhealthy habits that are the norm in our society.
Consequently, I soon found that I was engaged in the 'Battle of the Bulge'. Panic, led to stress and after spending thousands of dollars on restrictive diets, painful and strenuous exercises and even diet pills, I hit rock bottom and I didn't like how that felt. I knew I had to save myself and prevent others from falling into that trap.
Mind And Body Action was created by me as a forum to provide creditable and authentic information to all who are interested in creating and maintaining that "Fabulously, Trim And Healthy Body Forever". This site will pinpoint the synergistic relationship between the mind and body and also provide information on the psychology of eating, based on authentic, scientific research as well e relevant tools and techniques necessary to achieve your goals.
Transparency, integrity and honesty are the watchwords of Mind And Body Action. However, I will make one request of you and that is to view all information intelligently, be diligent and when in doubt, do your own research. Remember, even scientific research is governed by variables.
